Moosehorn Lodge has been purchased by lifelong Gunflint summer resident, John Schloot and his wife Rose and their friends Karl Lutz and Mendy Young. Extensive remodeling is currently taking place to bring the lodge and it's cabins and rooms back to the northwoods style of decor. Room rates for the 2010 season are being lowered greatly to encourage new and previous customers alike to come see our new look and feel. Please give us a call for new rates which will be posted about March 1, 2010. Rooms and cabins will be ready for the fishing opener and we look forward to seeing you!
We will also be changing the name from Moosehorn to "Cross River Lodge" to reflect the changes.
Moosehorn Lodge is located on the sunny north shore of crystal clear Gunflint Lake. Our lodge was originally built in the 1930s and called Borderland Lodge, because of its close proximity to the
Canadian border. All that remains of the original lodge is its large, native stone fireplace which adds character to the main room.
